Boxcar Bertha
Before making his mark on New York's mean streets, the first studio job for up-and-coming director Martin Scorsese was this Depression era crime caper. Barbara Hershey stars as a smalltown country girl who throws herself onto the wrong side of the tracks with charismatic, Robin Hood-ish train robber David Carradine. Carradine's legendary dad John is good value as a money-grubbing freight boss.
