Tom Hank's struggling detective must adopt the bear-like dog of a murder victim (the only witness) in order to discover the killer. Cue mayhem as Hanks tries to housetrain the wilful mutt..and solve the crime. Trivia: Tomorrow Never Dies director Roger Spottiswoode replaced Henry Winkler after the latter failed to hit it off with Hanks and was fired.
