Writer Richard Curtis made it two romantic hits out of two for himself and his Four Weddings And A Funeral star Hugh Grant with this sweet 'n' snuggly comedy about a London bookshop owner who falls for a big American movie star (played by the well-qualified Julia Roberts). The two stars do the business, but Rhys Ifans steals the show as Grant's scruffy flatmate. Stammering Brits, sassy Yanks, rose-tinted views of England, and a nice line in self-deprecation - get ready for another cosy night in Curtisland.
