Gentleman's Agreement
Elia Kazan's confrontational drama stars Gregory Peck as a reporter who poses as a Jew to expose anti-Semitism in post-war America. Another heroic performance from Peck is equalled by Dorothy Maguire as the wife whose support falters in the face of prejudice. And yes, that's Quantum Leap star Dean Stockwell getting bullied as Peck's young son. As bold and relevant as when it won the Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture in 1948.
