Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
Three family pets face the perils of open, wild country in their character-forming quest to be reunited with `their' human beings. Shadow is a venerable golden retriever (voiced with suitable gravitas by Don Ameche), Sassy a well-named long-haired Himalayan cat (Sally Field) and Chance (Michael J Fox) a bouncy young American boxer, who also acts as narrator. This remake of Disney's 1963 classic is shot from the animals' point of view with plenty of witty asides.
