Harlem Nights
Streetwise gangster Quick (Eddie Murphy) is adopted by Harlem club owner Sugar Ray (Richard Pryor). It's not long before both men find that a rival mobster wants a share of their action and a full-blown war looks likely as they protect their turf.
Murphy wrote and directed this period piece which doesn't hold back on the strong language and profanity...but to humorous effect.
