1911: Revolution
Jackie Chan - starring in apparently his 100th film - plays Huang Xing, the leader of the insurgent revolution who plan to overthrow the old Quing Dynasty and replace it with the Republic of China. Hung brings his experience with Japanese modern warfare into battle against the dynasty’s army, while his more political compatriot Sun Yat-Sen (Winston Chao) - later the republic’s first provisional president - looks abroad to raise cash. Ravishing-looking historical drama.
