Insomnia (1997)
Absorbing Norwegian thriller starring Stellan Skarsgard as a veteran detective who finds it increasingly difficult to sleep after arriving to investigate a murder in a remote town with constant daylight. With Sverre Anker Ousdal, Bjorn Floberg. Batman beginner Christopher Nolan directed the Alaska-set remake with Al Pacino as the weary cop. This version is better.
