Comedy heads for the sinbin when nice but dim bouncer Doug (Seann William Scott) is recruited by a struggling ice hockey team to rough up the oppo and protect their star player. But bodies and egos alike are in for a battering as Doug “the Thug” gains hero status and sets up a showdown with the league’s most notorious hard man (Liev Shreiber). The writer of Superbad and Pineapple Express ensures much blood, spit and beers are spilt in the comic cause.
