The People Under the Stairs
A streetwise 13-year-old ghetto kid (Brandon Adams) seeks his revenge on his family's nasty landlords The Robesons by breaking into their house. However, he and his buddy Leroy (Ving Rhames) find themselves in a warren of tunnels inhabited by the feral children who have disobeyed one of the three "see/speak/hear no evil" rules of the household. Wes Craven, the man who gave us A Nightmare on Elm Street, piles on the gore and gothic images in an effective horror.
