A Knight's Tale
This MTV-style medieval jousting romp sees peasant squire William Thatcher (Heath Ledger) convince an unknown writer called Chaucer (Paul Bettany) to forge nobility documents so he can join a jousting circuit. Under the assumed identity of Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein, the ace swordsman wins the love of noble lady, Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon) and the respect of the Prince of Wales, but must prevent spoilt Count Adhemar (Rufus Sewell) ruining his facade.
