Dead Again
In his first Hollywood directing job, Kenneth Branagh's 40s-style mystery thriller stars his then-wife Emma Thompson as a woman tormented by memories of a past life which may or may not have been her own. Branagh plays the detective investigating her case and both take second roles for the backstory. Andy Garcia, Derek Jacobi and Robin Williams provide thick slices of ham but the murky atmosphere makes it hokily enjoyable stuff.
