The Sterile Cuckoo

As the young couple’s relationship progresses, Jerry must choose whether to immerse himself in vulnerable Pookie’s lonely world or explore his own path. A touching and charming adaptation of John Nichols' 1965 novel of the same name, Minnelli’s polished performance earned her an Oscar nomination for best actress.
