Counter-culture musical set in the late 1960s, starring John Savage, Beverly D'Angelo and Treat Williams about a young man about to be drafted who meets a group of hippies. Czech director Milos Forman, fresh from his success with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, was a surprise choice to helm this very American film, but he did a fair job, filling the screen with movement.
