A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
The comic talents of five decades are pooled in this helter-skelter musical about capers in ancient Rome, directed by Richard Lester, following his two memorable Beatles films, and the equally popular The Knack. Phil Silvers, Michael Crawford and Zero Mostel star, but it's veteran Buster Keaton who, deservedly, has the funniest scene in the film. Keaton died soon after this film was completed.
