The Illusionist (2010)
An ageing French magician is forced to head to across the Channel and to Scotland as the demand for his traditional brand of trickery fades in his homeland. However, a chance meeting with a Highland pub maid triggers a reversal in his fortunes. Belleville Rendezvous animator Sylvain Chomet returns with this enchanting fable - based on a story by Jacques Tati - with Edinburgh the recipient of some of most beautiful animation ever committed to film.
