Legends of the Fall
Sweeping drama set in turn-of-the-century Montana with Anthony Hopkins as a retired colonel whose three sons - Brad Pitt, Aidan Quinn and Henry Thomas - come into conflict when they meet a beautiful woman (Julia Ormond). The director of The Last Samurai leads an epic journey across the kind of territory more commonly associated with Marlboro Men and William Shakespeare. The stunning scenery was scintillatingly captured by John Toll, who landed an Academy Award for his trouble.
