A Good Woman
Oscar Wilde's late 19th century parlour play is shunted from stuffy drawing rooms to the English playground of 1930s Italy. Helen Hunt is the gold-digging American whose sights fall on married Lord Windermere who is holidaying on the Amalfi coast with his new wife Scarlett Johansson. Director Mike Barker has fashioned a compelling treat helped by excellent performances and, of course, that timeless dialogue.
