John Wayne and Rock Hudson let bygones be bygones as Union and Confederate colonels who join forces after the American Civil War. The pair need to shepherd two groups of people through Mexico, leading to dust-ups with bandits and revolutionaries alike. With western adventures from Rawhide to Bandolero! under his belt, director Andrew V McLaglen proves a reliable hand at the reins. Look out for TV's Catwoman Lee Meriwether and future Airwolf star Jan-Michael Vincent along the way.
