Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Carrey cuts the clowning to give his subtlest performance yet as the lover erased from his girlfriend's memory banks in this skewed romantic comedy from Charlie "Being John Malkovich" Kaufman. There's splendid support from Kate Winslet as his kooky girlfriend and Tom Wilkinson steals the show as a mind-rubbing doctor.
