Bean
In this big-screen spin-off from the TV comedy, Rowan Atkinson plays the disaster-prone anti-hero. He's the unlikely choice to oversee the transfer of priceless painting Whistler's Mother from a London gallery to a museum in the USA. Havoc ensues, with Bean having a hand in the break-up of a marriage, attracting the ire of an American cop and the destruction of the painting. It was written by Atkinson and Richard Curtis and was directed by Mel Smith, all of whom originally worked together on Not the Nine O'Clock News.
