Tim Burton's comic biopic stars Johnny Depp as Edward D Wood Jr, the 1950s B-movie director widely hailed as the worst film maker of all time. It's an unashamedly fond look back at the life of the cross-dressing eccentric behind such appalling outings as Glen or Glenda and the now legendary Plan 9 From Outer Space. Depp is in his element as the barking maverick and there's Oscar-winning support from Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi.
