Vampires Suck
The slapstick spoof machine that brought us Scary Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie et al turns its broad comedy gaze to the mass teenage pop cult classic Twilight. Adolescent sourpuss Becca Crane (Jenn Proske) finds herself drawn to pan-sticked misery guts Edward Sullen (Matt Lanter) who gives her the glad (amber) eye but keeps her at arm’s length. Cue razor-toothed adolescent angst. Pumped-up parodists Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer rein in their usual scattergun approach to nail the bloodsucking saga with Proske neatly skewering Kristen Stewart's long-suffering, long-faced miserabilist.
