James Cameron took over the reins from Ridley Scott for a sequel that performs the rare feat of being just as good as the original. More action movie than Scott's psychological mind-shredder, this sees Sigourney Weaver reprising her role as Flight Officer Ripley. Together with a bunch of heavily armed space marines, she's induced to go to the alien planet where it all kicked off 57 years before. She discovers they've taken the colonly over...and the sole survivor is a little girl (Carrie Henn).
