Attack The Block
A South London crew led by surly teen Moses (John Boyega) discovers it's no longer the scariest thing on the block when its manor is overrun by toothsome aliens. Armed with baseball bats, blades and fireworks, the wannabe gangstas fight to reclaim their territory...but their adversary is no cuddly ET. Jodie Whittaker plays a feisty nurse while Nick Frost is the high-rise drug dealer recruited to the gang's cause. Writer/director Joe Cornish (of Adam & Joe fame) delivers an impressive debut, combining An American Werewolf In London-style shocks and laughs.
