Shape-throwing lion Alex (Ben Stiller) and the rest of the zany zoo crew – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo - find themselves in Africa after their bid to fly home to New York from Madagascar in a patched-up plane comes to grief. They think they’ve arrived at their true home – but life on the wild side has its own problems. A sequel that actually betters the original, this will appeal to raucous anklebiters with the lion’s share of the adult gags going to the wise-cracking penguins.
