Racing with the Moon
Young guns Sean Penn and Nicolas Cage caught the eye early on as a pair of Californian teenagers awaiting induction into the US Marines in 1942. As the boys enjoy their last moments of innocence, Penn finds love with new-girl-in-town Elizabeth McGovern while Cage gets his ladyfriend into rather more trouble. The appealing drama is nicely handled by all.
